The 25th anniversary gala of the Tenerife Isla Solidaria programme, which was held yesterday in El Sauzal, was the setting chosen for the delivery of the Solidarity 20 Awards. The event included the insular Minister of Social Action, Marián Franquet, and the CEO of Citizen Participation and Diversity, Nauzet Gugliotta, as well as the mayor of El Sauzal, Mariano Pérez. Thus, the Promemar and Kaua de Taco associations, and the José Luis Montesinos Canarian Foundation were recognized.
The awarded volunteers were Juan Enrique Hernández and Dácil Molina, with a special mention for Soukeina Ndiaye and Fermina Gutiérrez. The award-winning companies were Caixabank and Mercadona; in the educational field, the CEO Betencourt Molina and the Hispano-Inglés College, and, in administration, the Military Logistics Support Group No. 81. The online radio program La Vida es Bella and the digital newspaper of the ULL were also recognized.
