El Sauzal organizes the I Fair of the Migrant Person

The Town Hall of El Sauzal presents his I Fair of the Migrant Person to be held in the municipality on December 17 and 18 in the square of the Prince, where a program will be offered with workshops, talks, round tables and exhibitions that will represent various cultures of the world. The event will be attended by migrants who are staying in the camp of The roots and in The pitsas well as some centers for minors in the northern zone and the metropolitan area.

The opening of the fair will be This Saturday the 17th at 11:30 a.m., with the reading of a proclamation by some of the migrants participating in the event. Starting at 12:00 noon on the first day, workshops on percussion, African dance, crafts and graffiti will be offered. After noon, there will be a master class of african dancea motivational talk and the day will conclude with a benefit concert.

On Sunday, December 18, the I El Sauzal Intercultural Football Tournament with migrant players and municipal teams, as well as various workshops and round tables. The fair will close with a cineforum, through the screening of a documentary on migration.

Throughout the opening time of the fair, the venue will have different stalls with crafts, Senegalese productsinformation for migrants and food truck.

In addition, different collaborations will be carried out with associations and entities to raise funds for activities in favor of migrants. Among them, the auction of a work donated by the artist is planned marce padrino.

Baobab Home Hotel

As part of the event and through theThe Good Samaritan Associationa fundraising campaign has been started to collaborate with the project Baobab Home Hotel. With this investment, it is intended to create a school hotel in Senegal that generates sustainable job opportunities for young Africans who have already gone through the migratory process, and at the same time, to be a training resource for future young people in the region. For it, a web address has been enabled where donations can be made. In addition, the association will have a booth at the fair to inform about the project and also collect contributions.
