The (outgoing) president of CD Tenerife has been presented with the Gold Medal of Tenerife -a distinction awarded by the Island Council- on the occasion of the endless centenary of the club. In the surroundings of the president of the corporation, Pedro Martín is called, they have pointed out a lot that the golden distinction is for the team, “for the entity”, and not for Miguel Concepción. As if the entity were anything other than Concepción. Undoubtedly due to my little knowledge of this matter, in recent months I was convinced that Mr. Concepción was turning a century old – diets, massages, speech therapists and tailor-made suits work miracles – and that CD Tenerife gave him a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute. That would explain many things about the formats, spaces and styles chosen for the brilliant event.
