The adejeros recover the traditional acts to celebrate Christmas

Adeje develops a Christmas program designed to fully recover the traditional Christmas acts. Through the Culture area, the City Council develops activities to “recover the splendor” of this time of year in every street and every corner of the Adejero municipality, says the councilor for the area, María Clavijo.

This year the great Three Kings Parade returns with its arrival by helicopter at the Campo Municipal de Football de Adeje at five in the afternoon, counting for this with a “very special” show. At seven in the afternoon the parade will take place on Calle Grande adejera, as before the pandemic.

“It is about recovering the celebration of these endearing parties. All the activities that have been proposed will be a turning point and a meeting point for all the people who come to enjoy their free time»explains Clavijo Maza.

The opening of the advent shop of the San Juan Association and the blessing of the Bethlehem for the Elderly, which this year is entitled United and which can be visited for free at the Spain Square until January 9, are the first acts of the program, which includes the chestnut festival in La Postura, the activities in the Adeje Agromercado and the Costa Adeje Christmas Fair, in Salytien square.

This year’s Christmas program consists of multiple activities in each of the neighborhoods of the municipality, so that the population of each town will be able to enjoy socio-cultural revitalizations, decoration in the squares and activities such as workshops, shows and Christmas carols. The entire program is available for consultation on the municipal website www.adeje.es, where all the initiatives carried out by the City Council can be confirmed every day.

Christmas carols, concerts, markets, delivery of letters to Santa Claus or the Three Wise Men, as well as the blessings of cribs will be a fundamental part of this Christmas, which returns to the streets in its entirety, as until 2019.

The most representative acts of this year’s program, in addition to the parade of the Three Kings, will take place on the 15th with the musical Anastasia; the concert of the Municipal School of Music of Adeje will take place on the 20th and on the 23rd it will be the turn of the concert by Los Sabandeños, all in the Plaza de España.

Adejero’s New Year’s Eve will also be the traditional one again, with a performance by DJ Juacko and the Maquinaria Band and Sensación Gomera orchestras, in the Plaza de España, starting at 11:30 p.m.
