SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A man, of whom no further information is known, has died after being rescued from the sea in Playa del Inglés, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, in Gran Canaria, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1 -1-2.
The incident occurred around 12:15 p.m.
when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert stating that a person in cardiorespiratory arrest had been pulled out of the sea, for which reason Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
Beach lifeguards assisted the affected person and began to practice resuscitation maneuvers. Personnel from the SUC and the health center in the area verified that the affected person remained in cardiorespiratory arrest and continued to perform advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without obtaining results, confirming his death.
The Local Police collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources. The National Police guarded the body of the deceased man until the arrival of the judicial authority and is instructing the corresponding proceedings.
