The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, through the Autonomous Organization for Festivals and Recreational Activities, OAFAR, inaugurates tomorrow, the 10th, at 7:00 p.m., the traditional municipal nativity scene arranged in its usual location in Plaza de la Candelaria.
For the Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello, “this birth, in addition to being a beautiful meeting point for adults and children, is a showcase for our creativity that combines tradition with avant-garde design.”
For Cabello, “this inauguration marks the beginning of a cascade of Christmas events that will take place until the next Three Kings Day, with the intention of boosting the activity of the establishments present in our 14 commercial areas.”
The municipal nativity scene, which has a completely artisan manufacture, will display a new design signed by Javier Caraballero, and will be made up of three large luminous stars that will house the five life-size biblical figures. The set will show a classic wardrobe signed by the designer Leo Martínez, highlighting the use of different fabrics in white and ecru tones profusely decorated.
The nativity scene ensemble, which will remain installed until January 6, will have its usual piped music that will play during business hours, offering a carousel of Christmas melodies from all eras and styles.
The complete program of activities can be consulted on the website fiestasdesantacruz.com as well as on the social networks of the OAFAR.
