SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Autonomous Organization of Museums and Centers (OAMC), will exhibit the performances of two important clown artists at the Museum of Nature and Archeology (MUNA) within the framework of ‘Muna Clown’.
The appointment will be next Saturday with the shows by Carlos Adriano and Abraham Arzate.
The Island Councilor for Museums, Concepción Rivero, the director of the Canary Institute of Bioanthropology and the Archaeological Museum of Tenerife, Conrado Rodríguez-Maffiotte, and the director of the Muna Clown event, César Cadenas, presented this Wednesday the details of this circus event that will take place will take place in the museum’s Antonio Pintor courtyard.
During the presentation, Concepción Rivero valued the artistic creation linked to the clown world, which is made up of very innovative contemporary proposals that capture the public’s attention very well.
In this way, he assured that from the Autonomous Organization of Museums they work “to offer visitors different proposals and activities that energize the centers and make the experience more pleasant.”
The counselor pointed out that the circus has always been linked to childhood but that these types of shows are aimed at everyone and, among them, she highlighted the specialized public such as performing arts students or theater amateurs.
In addition, he recalled that the performances will have free admission until full capacity is reached and invited the public to attend.
The director of the Canary Institute of Bioanthropology and the Archaeological Museum of Tenerife, Conrado Rodríguez-Maffiotte, highlighted the trajectory, origin and quality of the artists participating in this project, who will bring to the museum a sample of the humor and creativity of the clown art.
Likewise, he commented on the need to “promote all the scenic and circus disciplines that the clown world encompasses, such as gestural theater, magic, acrobatics or juggling”.
The director of the ‘Muna Clown Festival’, César Cadenas, stressed the importance of giving spaces to clown art and stressed that “it is not the first time that Museos de Tenerife have collaborated with circus shows and this has meant that they already have an audience faithful who looks forward to these shows”.
Along these lines, he pointed out that he hopes this will be “the first of many editions of the Muna Clown festival.”
On Saturday, Carlos Adriano will present two performances of ‘Funny Magic’ at 12:00 and 19:00, while Abraham Arzate’s show, entitled ‘Auch!!!’ It will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will feature fights against invisible wrestlers, doll tosses, strength tests, failed training sessions, and jumping over cardboard boxes.
