The Governing Council authorized this Thursday a multi-year expenditure of 2,280,010 euros to finance in 2023 the second addendum to the existing collaboration agreement between the Canary Islands Health Service and the Cabildo de Tenerife to settle the reciprocal obligations derived from the construction of the Hospital del Sur de Tenerife and the Specialized Care Center of El Mojón, in Arona, as well as the transfer of ownership.
The amount of this second addendum is incorporated into the multi-year expenditure approved by the Government of the Canary Islands, in its session on July 1, 2019, for the amount of 19,777,563.60 euros, which has been transferred by the SCS to the Island Corporation to reason of 5,000,000 euros in 2019, 4,925,854.53 euros in 2020, 4,925,854.53 euros in 2021 and 4,925,854.54 euros in 2022.
The SCS and the Cabildo de Tenerife signed in 2019 the first addendum to the collaboration agreement, signed in December 2018, for the economic settlement of the obligations contracted during the construction of the Hospital del Sur de Tenerife and the execution by the Island Corporation of the patrimonial operations necessary for the transmission to the SCS of the properties destined for sanitary uses.
In this context, the monitoring commission of the agreement agreed on September 12 to approve the settlement report, which states that the amount resulting from the settlement and the formalization of the transfer of ownership of the plot amounts to 2,280 010 euros and requires the processing of the second addendum to the agreement.
