The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín, together with the vice-president and Minister of Roads, Enrique Arriaga, have held a meeting with the mayor of Los Realejos, Adolfo González, to seek alternatives to the old connection of the TF-5 by El Patronato . The insular Director of Highways, Tomás Félix García, also participated in this meeting.
“The old departure of the Board towards the TF5 does not adapt to the Highway regulations, so this possibility would not obtain any favorable technical report,” said the president Pedro Martín, who pointed out that in this meeting “we analyzed and studied possible alternatives of other possible connections to the nucleus of Los Realejos, with the aim of facilitating entrances and exits to the municipality”.
Pedro Martín added that currently and after this meeting “we are in the phase of exchanging documentation to see what might be the best solutions.” The president pointed out that in this process “from the Cabildo Highway area, documentation of these new access options to Los Realejos will be presented to the City Council.”
On the other hand, Martín concluded by recalling that “for its part, the City Council has promised to provide us with its proposed solutions”, and noted that “we will continue with technical meetings to guarantee better mobility in the area”.
Meanwhile, Enrique Arriaga explained that “the development of the current La Higuerita link is one of the alternatives being considered, a solution that would give access to the industrial estate that is in the area and also to Realejo Alto.”
The first vice president pointed out that these are works that have been paralyzed for more than thirty years, we believe it is one of the most important solutions for the entry and exit of the municipality of Los Realejos “.
“We have agreed with the City Council to develop joint layouts and in a consensual manner to reach the best solution and be able to put it into operation, taking into account the planning of the municipality and the possible urban development of the entire area,” added the island Mobility Councilor. .
