The football match that will face the teams of England and Wales this afternoon at 6:00 p.m. will have a special security device in the tourist areas of the South and, especially in Playa de Las Américas, where fans of both teams starred in the last Friday a fight in Las Verónicas who is under police investigation.
The match, which will also be decisive for the classification of both teams, coincides with the high tourist season and, in addition to the large presence of British visitors on these dates, is added the arrival of more than 2,000 Welshmen to the South in recent days to enjoy of the World Cup in Qatar on the island, according to the BBC.

The security device planned by the National Police Force, whose presence in the main tourist areas of the South has intensified in recent times, will have the collaboration of the Local Police of Arona, a security force that will help in the objective of preventing possible riots. In fact, the coordination of agents from both bodies has been strengthened as a result of the incidents in Las Verónicas.

The security operation will continue until the end of the World Cup, since in the more advanced phases of this type of championship the risk of altercations increases.

Last Friday, fans of both teams got into a pitched battle with punches, kicks and throwing chairs, as can be seen in the images that have been disseminated through social networks.
