“I can’t believe that 50 years have already passed,” said the president of Loro Parque, Wolfgang Kiessling, yesterday after announcing that 30,000 tickets will be given away to the residents of Puerto de la Cruz on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the venue, a way of thanking the support received by the community during this half century of life.
Accompanied by the mayor, Marco González, and the Councilor for Tourism, Carolina Rodríguez, Kiessling recalled his beginnings, the difficulties he had to go through, and defined himself as “the last of the Mohicans” in a company “in which he already There is no one left from the beginning, but in which he still has a lot to fight for and he does it with great enthusiasm ”, he confessed.
People interested in visiting the park for free should access the Loro Parque website and click on the ‘Resident tickets’ section or scan the QR distributed in different parts of the municipality. The only requirement is to present an official document proving your residence in the city at the ticket office the day you go.
Both González and Rodríguez stressed that Loro Parque “is much more than a zoo, it is a space for coexistence and sustainability.”
