SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Vice Ministry of the Primary Sector, has published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands (BOC) the final resolution of the direct aid known as the Poseican -Fishing 2020.
These aids, included in the Operational Program for Spain of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (FEMP), for the period 2014-2020, amount to 8.7 million euros.
With this final resolution, the FEMP program is completed, with a financial record of 60.9 million euros for the 2014-2020 campaign, executed in its entirety.
The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Government of the Canary Islands, Alicia Vanoostende, stressed the need for these subsidies to guarantee the survival of an essential sector in the economic engine of the islands.
