Christmas comes to Arona with low consumption LED technology

Christmas has come to Arona, with the lighting of Christmas lights, an initiative that is carried out at the request of residents and businesses, with the aim of boosting the activity of SMEs on these dates. An activity that this year has been reinforced with the presentation, yesterday, of the consumer voucher, with which the City Council will subsidize 50% of purchases in establishments in the municipality.

Saint Lawrence Valleythat next Friday will live the chestnut, sweet and wine festival for the festival of San Andrés, Los Cristianos, Las Galletas and El Fraile, where this act has been held for the second time this year, have been the points in which It was lit by the mayor of Arona, José Julián Mena, who was accompanied by neighbors and members of the corporation.

In this way, a Christmas campaign that tries to meet both the demands of local commerce and the residents of the different nuclei goes a step further, reaching a total of 120 locations, which this year will have festive lights, always low energy consumption.

José Julián Mena explained that “we want Christmas light to reach every corner of Arona’s homes, commemorating such an important and significant festivity for all the residents, as well as supporting local businesses, which this year will have the support of consumer bonds”.

For her part, the Councilor for Public Services, Ruth Lorenzo, has insisted that “we are deepening the initiative that we have adopted in recent years, to save energy, especially at a time when the electricity bill has suffered a notable more expensive, so we are making a significant effort in support of the commercial sector”.

In this way, almost 1,700 Christmas decorations and lighting have been installed in streets, squares and facades.

The lighting will be placed in the nuclei of Arona Casco, Barrio Benítez, Los Toscales, Buzanada, Cabo Blanco, Casas Viejas, Chayofa, Costa del Silencio, Las Rosas, La Estrella, El Fraile, Guargacho, Virgen del Carmen Urbanization, Guaza, Llanos de Guaza, La Camella, La Florida, Las Américas, Los Cristianos, Las Casas, Las Galletas, Palm Mar, Parque La Reina, Cho, La Sabinita, Tunis, Valle San Lorenzo and Vento.
