El Sauzal’s budget for 2023 grows by 14% and exceeds 10.7 million euros

The budget of the Town Hall of El Sauzal by the year 2023 it grows by 14% and exceeds 10.7 million euros. The accounts were approved in plenary session yesterday with the favorable vote of the seven councilors of Canarian Coalitionthree abstentions from the Independent Association of El Sauzal-Nueva Canarias (AISA-NC) and the votes against of the three councilors of the Mixed Group (United We Can, PSOE and Popular Party).

The mayor of Economy and Finance, Adasat Goya (CC)details that the main expenses of the City Council are divided into four large blocks: municipal personnel, who costs 3,710,617 euros per year; municipal services, budgeted in €5,533,697; aids and subsidies, with an expense forecast of 882,201 euros, and investments and works, valued at 544,225 euros. These amounts may be modified during the year to meet municipal needs, qualify from the local government

For the mayor, Mariano Perez (CC), “an increased budget based on all the needs of the municipality has been drawn up, with the intention of focusing efforts on meeting the demands of the Sauzalera population, especially in the social sphere.” In his opinion, also They are accounts “adaptable to the current situationsince it can be modified based on the needs that arise.

In 2022, the Sauzalero Town Hall 3,352,214 euros were allocated to personnel, which represents an increase of 358,403 euros this year. Expenditure on services also goes from 4,968,379 euros in 2022 to 5,553,697 in 2023 (585,318 more euros). Aid and subsidies drop slightly: from 885,431 euros this year to 882,201 in 2023 (-3,230). The investment and works section triples and goes from just 168,000 euros to more than 544,000.

Mariano Perez Remember that 2023 will be one of the highest budgets in recent decades, which will allow the northern municipality to manage about 3 million euros more than in 2014, and about 6 million more than in 2000.
