Point to save the lead

The Pulido San Mateo Bakery regained the leadership of the RFEF Tercera Canarian group that, provisionally, was taken from it by San Fernando on Friday night after beating Tamaraceite. The team from Vega scored a valuable point in their fiefdom against Tenerife B, another of the aspirants for promotion (1-1). The subsidiary was ahead in a first half in which they were superior; however, the locals equalized from set pieces at the beginning of a second period of greater equality.

The first warning of the match was given by the Gran Canaria team after three minutes after a cross from Javi Martínez that Ale González finished off on goal, but Martín was very successful to avoid the local goal with a phenomenal save. After that, the blue and white subsidiary woke up and dominated their rival, generating a greater number of dangerous arrivals, although without success in front of goal.

Around half an hour, Cacho took advantage of a good inside pass from Dylan to chip the ball before the goalkeeper left, establishing the 0-1. San Mateo then looked for their options with balls hanging into the area that they could not find a finisher, however, it was Dylan who was closest to opening the gap on the scoreboard shortly before the break thanks to a cross shot that found a good response from goalkeeper Álex Guanche .

Panadería Pulido knew how to do damage from set pieces during the opening stages of the second half, thus managing to return the tables through a volley from Romero in the 52nd minute. After the tie, Gonzalo was able to put Tenerife B back in front, but his header to the center of Cacho was taken out by Guanche under the sticks.

The game took place in the center of the field for the last half hour without clear chances in any of the goals. Despite this, Lie had the last clear chance of the match for the reserves, although his cross shot missed the target by very little.
