SAN SEBASTIAN DE LA GOMERA, Nov. 20 (EUROPA PRESS) –
La Gomera will be the scene of the I International Aeronautical and Aerospace Congress next week, which will bring together experts, companies, institutions and universities in which the island hosts.
This is an event that will be held on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 November at the Cabildo headquarters under the title ‘Canarias, the Sandbox that looks at the sky’.
For the occasion, representatives of the main business initiatives linked to the sector will meet and discussion tables will be held on the usefulness of these instruments in different areas.
According to the Cabildo, it will be one of the first events of these characteristics to take place in the country, and the first to be hosted by the Canary Islands.
For this reason, a program has been designed that will begin on the morning of November 24 and will be dedicated to the technical section.
While, that same day, starting at 7:00 p.m., a light show with drones will be held for the first time in La Gomera from San Sebastián Beach.
Already on Friday 25, after the work carried out by experts, companies and researchers, schoolchildren linked to technological studies will participate, who will learn about the characteristics of the exposed drones and the advances achieved for their use in civil protection and transport.
All this, in a session open to the public in the Parque de la Torre del Conde, where drones will be located to be visited, and from where it will be possible to witness a rescue drill in the bay with unmanned drones and an awareness talk.
Starting at 12:00 noon, there will be the closing ceremony with the participation of the main regional and island authorities, who will give way to the reading of the conclusions and the closing of the event, in the Plenary Hall of the Island Council.
