Around 14,000 people have already passed, up to noon yesterday, through expelledthe fair of balances and settlements, which this year celebrates its 25th edition, according to data from the Cabildo.
And it is that, with Christmas just around the corner, many see it as an opportunity to anticipate some of the Christmas purchases at lower prices and companies, for their part, to release the goods they have in stock and start the campaign with an additional financial boost.
Before the fair opened its doors yesterday at the Fairgrounds, at 11:00 am, on its third day, already a long line of people I was waiting on the outskirts to buy the ticket, for one euro, and tour the more than 10,000 square meters of exhibition, in which almost 80 companies show their best offers in clothing, accessories, footwear, toys, electrical appliances, hardware, furniture, household items. , decoration and even used motorcycles and vehicles, among other products.
Some of these businesses have been participating in the fair for many years, as explained by María Mekhia from Urban Style, a business that has been coming to Exposaldo for 11 years: “We are always very happy and it is getting much better every time. The truth is that I would say that the last two years have gone quite well, despite the pandemic, because people always want to take the opportunity to buy Christmas gifts and it is also a bit of entertainment and see something different.
Others, on the other hand, are participating for the first time, such as Oksana Fabiano with her lingerie company Divas Íntima, which, moreover, has just landed this year in the Spanish market, “because we have production in Latvia, the factory is there and since June We have the first physical store in La Laguna”. And he also values positively how the experience in Exposaldo is being: “The first day was very good, with a lot of people. I see that people come to look for things already facing Reyes ”.
Also very happy with the results was Davinia González, from the Bichitos Kid children’s shoe store, who has been going there for three years. He values that as a trade it is an opportunity for him “to make myself known and take out the product that we are left with loose sizes, which does not mean that it is an old shoe, but rather that loose pairs are left and this is where it sells best, because a lot of people pass by and prices are below cost”. Likewise, she points out that “everything is for more than 50% discount, there is nothing below that, and we give the possibility of changing it next week in the store.” She points out that many people are already buying for Christmas and that they expected yesterday and today to be strong days.
Precisely looking and buying for Christmas were Inmaculada Pérez and her daughter Jéssica Figueras, who said that she usually comes every year “because I know of several stores that I love and I already look at Christmas, toys, clothes… and we It also blocks some birthdays and we take advantage and save. We love to come the truth. I came yesterday and the day before yesterday”.
Thus, he values that you can find “children’s toys that cost twenty-something euros to ten or twelve, some six; also clothes, children’s shoes, because you save a lot of money, instead of costing 50 or 40 euros each, they cost you 20 or 25”.
“I come because I see offers, interesting things. Today I bought shoes and a shoulder bag, I’m seeing good prices. And already thinking about the Kings, to get ahead of myself, ”added her mother.
For others it is their first time, like Emilio Pellez, who came because “we knew of another similar one in Madrid where we had gone. We have been here for three years and we found out about this and we went to see if there are any good offers”.
Laggards still have a chance, as Exposaldo will remain open until tomorrow, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
