The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Insular Water Council (CIATF), has awarded the rehabilitation works of the wastewater pumping station in the town of Güímar for a budget of 230,787 euros and a duration of six months.
“The situation of wastewater treatment in the Güímar Valley requires differentiated attention, on which, from the Cabildo, we have already focused, both on the start-up of the urban wastewater treatment plant and on solutions that we have carried out in the Industrial Estate”, indicated the Councilor for Sustainable Development and the Fight Against Climate Change of the Cabildo, Javier Rodríguez Medina.
Now, he has influenced a note, “it is the turn to undertake the rehabilitation of this infrastructure that will be one more step to complete that roadmap of the pending issue with the Valley of Güímar.”
“We are facing the rehabilitation and commissioning of an infrastructure that was out of use, launched at the time by the Government of the Canary Islands and that had remained unfinished,” he explained.
