The La Laguna City Council has put out to tender the contract for the cleaning service of public infant and primary schools and municipal agencies with a base budget that goes up to 16,163,310 euros, without taxes, and a term of three years.
According to data from the Municipal Services area, the new contract increases its budget considerably, since it foresees, for example, in the part of personnel a rise next year of 4% in salary, and 2% in each of the two following years. As published in the BOE, the previous contract was tendered in 2018 for a net amount of 8,878,926 euros, that is, seven million less.
The service includes cleaning schools, the municipal market, citizen centers, municipal offices and local police headquarters, as well as bathrooms, chapels and cemeteries walks, the Punta del Hidalgo campsite and bathrooms, changing rooms and booths of the natural pools, among others, as stated in the specifications.
In addition, actions determined by court order and/or interventions in buildings for reasons of habitability and hygiene are included in coordination with the urban cleaning service when necessary.
The new contract incorporates in its tender the scoring of several improvements, such as the performance of actions in gardens and the control of weeds in sports courts and paved outdoor surfaces. Actions of unblocking, removal of chewing gum from pavements, as well as graffiti, small graffiti, posters and stickers will also be valued. And actions on flat roofs will be evaluated, including those inaccessible from the inside, at least once a year, before the rainy season, according to data from Municipal Services. Likewise, the obligation to introduce newly acquired electric vehicles is maintained.
