A fact that, according to the Minister of Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action, Carmen Luz Baso, “shows the importance of this event for consumers”, and that each year attracts thousands of people with its offers and discounts. of people.
And it is that those who attend this fair can find, in its more than 10,000 square meters of sample with different exhibition areas, the best offers that almost 80 companies offer in clothing, accessories, footwear, electrical appliances, hardware, furniture, household items, decoration and toys, but also used motorcycles and vehicles, among a total of about 150 stands.
An opportunity
A fair that is an opportunity for consumers to even advance some of their Christmas purchases at the best prices, and that also helps merchants to sell the items they have in stock and have an additional economic boost for the Christmas campaign.
On this opening day, Carmen Luz Baso toured the different stands, along with the manager of the FairgroundsIñaki Domínguez, and the director of the fair, Jonay López.
Some 35,000 people visited Exposaldo last year and the forecast of the counselor Carmen Luz Baso is that “this year we will also have a notable influx of public, so we hope that the businesses will see their forecasts covered”. In addition, she recalled that this exhibition is part of the actions with which the Cabildo collaborates in the promotion and development of commerce, an essential sector for the insular economy. “So far this year we have approved close to 1.5 million euros in subsidies for the sector in order to help establishments improve their businesses and contribute to municipalities to boost open commercial areas”, she highlighted. She also recalled the recent launch of consumer bonds worth 600,000 euros.
