Beer in Gran Canaria is more expensive than in Tenerife

The beer price Does it serve as an indicator of the cost of living in a place? Of course, even if it is not one of the leading products in this type of comparison, since it is not essential. It will not be essential, but its consumers are always looking for an affordable and fair price, because enjoyment is also necessary.

According to the well-known website Expatistan, one of the largest collaborative price and cost of living databases in the world, the price of half a liter of beer in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is 4.04 euros on average. They have used restaurants and bars from different neighborhoods of the city as statistical sample.

This database ensures that in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, beer in the premises is on average 25% cheaper than in the capital of Gran Canaria. That is, it costs 3.03 euros on average.

We may be surprised by the comparisons with other Spanish places. For example, in Bilbao beer is 12% more expensive than in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria while in Alicante it is 19% cheaper.

All these data are approximate and it must be taken into account that at no time can we ensure that reality is such; the larger the statistical sample, the closer the results will be to reality.

Would you be surprised if beer in Berlin was 5% cheaper which the capital of Gran Canaria? Well, that’s what the Expatistan website says. Although of course, in Paris it is 68% more expensive. What is clear to us is that in Gran Canaria, in general, the cheapest beer in Spain is not drunk, although some places have surprising prices, for better and for worse.
