SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 14 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Highways area, has begun the rehabilitation of the TF-13, also known as Vía de Ronda, between kilometer points 4,655 and 4,955, which go from the exit of the roundabout that connects with Avenida Argentine Republic until before the detour of the Camino Viejo de Las Mercedes.
The works, which will last until January 14, will be carried out at night to affect traffic as little as possible and will require the establishment of alternative traffic.
The First Vice President and Island Councilor for Highways, Enrique Arriaga, assures that “on other occasions conservation actions have already been carried out to improve the conditions of this road, but they have been short-term solutions that did not solve the root problem and that, due to their recurrence, they became uneconomical solutions”.
Arriaga points out that for all this “it has been decided to rehabilitate the road surface, which will make it more comfortable and, above all, safer” and affirms that during the execution of the work “signaling equipment will be installed to indicate the diversions and regulate traffic, as well as beaconing and lighting devices”.
For his part, the insular director of Roads, Tomás Félix García, points out that the rolling layers are very deteriorated, creating potholes that generate inconvenience to users and that for this reason an item of 36,337 euros has been allocated to undertake these improvements “.
In order to correct the deficiencies and deterioration, a series of actions will be carried out, among which are the milling of a section of the road, the subsequent pouring of the thermo-adhesive irrigation and the extension of the new 5 cm rolling layer thick, as well as the repainting of the horizontal signage of the affected section.
