The City Council of Santiago del Teide has recently presented the program of events for the event “‘Chinyero-113’, through which it is intended to commemorate the eruption of the aforementioned volcano – which this year turns 113 years old – with a detailed program of activities which will take place from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 November.
Said program will begin this coming Friday, November 18 at 6:00 p.m. with the extraordinary visit to the Parish of San Fernando Rey of the images of Santa Ana de Tamaimo and the Virgen del Pilar de Las Manchas, which, previously, will be found in the Santiago del Teide Cemetery to go on a pilgrimage to that parish, enter through the Holy Door and celebrate a Eucharist.
On Saturday, November 19, in the Plaza de Santiago del Teide from 6:00 p.m., José Manuel Ramos will perform, accompanied by Fabiola Socas, presenting his show “Vuelta al Origen”. Next, a great dance of yesteryear with the Orotava orchestra.
On Sunday, November 20 at 09:00 a.m., VI Route of the Volcanoes which will have limited places and registration must be made through the page www.elcardon.com. At 11:45 a.m., departure from the Parish of San Fernando Rey of the images of Santa Ana and the Virgen del Pilar in the direction of Calvario de Las Manchas where the prayer will take place, which will also include the presence of the image of Santo Domingo de Guzmán de Las Manchas.
