Firefighters of the Consortium of Tenerife They specialize these days in an emergency course to reinforce security on the Island together with other security forces. This is a training aimed at middle managers (Head of Staff and Head of Guard) of all the parks in Tenerife for recycling and preparation for their functions.
In this course, which began yesterday, the professionals of the Consortium will acquire knowledge about the problem of emergencies on the Island, such as the population, the main activities, the types of incidents, the severity and spatial and temporal distribution, and about the Consortium of Prevention and extinction of Fires and Salvamento de Tenerife and its capacity to intervene.
The training is being carried out at the La Laguna Fire Station and will last 50 hours distributed between 25 hours online and 25 face-to-face hours. Members of other emergency services such as Brifor, the Civil Guardthe UME and the Red Cross for a better knowledge and, with it, better coordination between all the entities, collects a press release sent yesterday by the Cabildo de Tenerife.
The course as a whole is aimed at a total of 50 students and, among other knowledge, the risks of firefighters in interventions and maneuvers, collective and individual protection equipment or equipment decontamination will be addressed. The training will end with the intervention in an emergency with various professional and volunteer firefighters, security and health resources, added from the island institution about the initiative.
Among the teachers for this course are technicians specialized in occupational risk prevention and specialists from the Spanish Association for Fighting Fire (ASELF).
