SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 14 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The central headquarters of the Institute of Social and Socio-Sanitary Care (IASS), an autonomous body of the Cabildo de Tenerife, hosts an exhibition in which it reviews its more than 20 years of history through the portraits of 20 people who have been involved with the Institute and that have been made by the illustrator Eduardo González.
This exhibition, part of the 19th edition of the Tenerife International Comic and Illustration Show, can be visited until November 30 and is accompanied by the comic ‘Inclusion Man’, produced by the Plena Inclusion Montijo association.
The Third Vice President and Councilor for Social Action of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Marián Franquet, considers that comics are “a very enriching tool when it comes to representing realities and she believes that these initiatives are very positive because they allow, through art, to bring aspects of the activity of the IASS to a greater number of people”.
“Our staff and our users are the ones who make up the history of this Institute, we should be proud of all of them, that is why we believed it essential to tell our 20 years of history through their eyes, resulting in an exhibition as significant as this one, in which Eduardo González has been able to perfectly capture the essence of each protagonist”, assured Franquet.
The exhibition, in addition to these 20 portraits, includes the comic ‘Inclusion Man’, which tells the story of a superhero who fights for the inclusion of people with disabilities. These adventures, in which the Full Inclusion Battalion participates, have been devised by the Full Inclusion Montijo association, in a project led by Álex de la Fuente. These panels also include QR codes that redirect to adapted formats, so that everyone has access to their content.
