The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Mobility area, reopens the Granadilla de Abona station, located on El Cerquito street, after the improvement works carried out with a budget of 363,943 euros and which have been mainly aimed at increasing the accessibility of the building.
The First Vice President and Island Councilor for Mobility, Enrique Arriaga, explains that “the comprehensive remodeling of the station is part of the boost that is being given to public transport, since we need our infrastructure and vehicles to adapt to the needs of passengers “.
It emphasizes that in the execution of the works, accessibility has been taken into account and all the necessary measures have been taken to create facilities suitable for all users.
The insular director of Mobility, José Alberto León, points out in a note that “with this action all the architectural barriers that could pose an access problem have been eliminated, for this the exterior pedestrian areas were repaved, the road in poor condition was resurfaced and the size of the access docks for the buses from the platform was increased”.
The Granadilla station occupies a space of 2,300 square meters, distributed in 6 docks in service, 8 bus parking lots and a two-story building with an information office where transport cards can be sold and recharged.
In addition, the building has toilets adapted for people with an ostomy, a waiting area and commercial spaces.
Among the works carried out has been the renovation of the public lighting of the platform and the installation of access ramps, ground and upper floor distributors, as well as a magnetic loop to facilitate auditory accessibility in the environment, both for the orientation and mobility in space, as well as for the perception of sound information of all kinds.

Currently, Titsa operates 15 lines at this station serving an average of 500 passengers per day.
The routes that depart and arrive at the terminal are line 034, which connects El Tablado with Granadilla de Abona; 035, from Güímar to Granadilla de Abona; 036, also leaves from Güímar to Granadilla de Abona but passing through the TF-1 and Los Roques; 039, with the same route but passing through El Tablado; 408, from Granadilla to El Médano; 409, to go from San Miguel to El Médano; 410, from Granadilla de Abona to Los Abrigos; 411, connects Granadilla de Abona and Montaña Pelada; 412, leaves Granadilla de Abona and arrives at Los Abrigos; 416, between Granadilla de Abona and Los Cristianos; 419, to go from Granadilla de Abona to Vilaflor; 430, connects Granadilla de Abona with Las Maretas; 463, from Chimiche to IES Granadilla; 475, goes from Granadilla to Cruz de Tea and 484, between Granadilla de Abona and Las Chafiras.
