A new solarium and the construction of new access stairs to the sea are two of the improvements that the City Hall of Santa Cruz through the repair project of the northeast breakwater dam of the Las Teresitas beachclosed since 2020 due to its poor state of conservation.
This is detailed in the project sent to the General Directorate of Coasts for authorization and that yesterday the state entity put on public display for 20 days, so that it can be consulted by interested parties. This repair has a budget of 2.2 million and with which this part of the end of Las Teresitas beach will be completely rehabilitated.
The execution of this work was awarded last February and since then it has been waiting for the authorization of Costas to start the repair of the breakwater of Las Teresitas beach.
The maintenance actions include the replacement of breakwater in localized areas with a lack of blocks, replacement of medium-sized stones, renovation of the paving, installation of small jetties, new access stairs to the bathroom and complementary works.
