the area of Roads of the Cabildo de Tenerife will carry out the cut of one of the lanes of the TF-5, at kilometer point 17,140, towards Santa Cruz, in the municipality of La Victoria, between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. to improve stability problems and landslides that occur on a slope. In order to undertake these works, it is also necessary to close one of the lanes of the island road TF-217.
The Island Director of Highways, Tomás Félix García, explains that “with the aim of interfering to the least extent with the circulation of the TF-5, the work is carried out at night, returning to normal first thing in the morning.”
García adds that “it is an immediate action after yesterday there was a landslide in the area, where a first intervention was made and in which now in more depth removing the unstable material that remains on the slope”.
Likewise, future actions will be proposed to clear the slope and that will allow defining the risks of the slope and the stability works to be carried out to undertake them urgently.
