SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 9 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife, through Turismo de Tenerife, will bring to the island this Sunday the largest tribute concert to the Spanish group Mecano. The show, promoted by KISS FM, will feature an innovative live music format and extensive audiovisual display at the Santiago Martín Sports Pavilion.
The island’s director of Tourism, Laura Castro, has indicated that, after passing through more than a dozen cities, the ‘Mecano Experience’ tour has already exceeded 70,000 spectators and it is expected that more than 5,100 attendees will fill the Santiago Martín this Sunday.
Castro explained that during each concert the attendees receive constant impacts on the destination to inspire them to travel to the island, mainly through videos that show the variety of experiences offered by the destination, its landscapes, accommodation plant, festivals, beaches or spaces. natural.
For his part, the CEO of Tenerife Tourism, David Pérez, highlighted that the tour, which also includes presence in the media, muppies or buses, has already exceeded 160 million impressions. In this sense, he highlighted promotion through culture as one of the fundamental values of the destination and how this culture-tourism binomial is increasingly transversal to Tenerife Tourism’s strategy.
A total of 114,000 people are expected to have enjoyed the tour when it ends, at the end of the year, with a concert in Malaga on December 29. In all of them, thanks to the use of innovative technologies, the stage is transformed into an audiovisual show that includes 100-square-meter LED screens.
In this way, the Tenerife destination, through the Cabildo y Turismo de Tenerife, will reach more than twenty Spanish cities, allowing it to connect with its audience in a unique setting and inviting them to discover the secrets of the island.
After the performance in Tenerife, the Mecano Experience tour will cover six other Spanish cities: Salamanca (November 18), Valladolid (November 19), Zaragoza (November 25), Santander (December 17), Barcelona (from 21 to 23 December) and Malaga (December 29).
