Podemos presents its electoral candidacy to “change Los Realejos” in 2023

Podemos Los Realejos (Tenerife) presented this Wednesday at its regional headquarters in Realejo Alto the result of the internal primaries that the party has held in recent weeks to elect the team of people who will make up its candidacy for the municipal elections in May 2023. The objective is, explains the training, to achieve representation and “promote political change.”

The militancy of the party at the local level has unanimously decided that the candidate for mayor of Los Realejos is Teo Morales, who already led the list in 2019, remaining at the gates of obtaining representation, which on this occasion will have Laura Fuentes as number two Vega, current coordinator of Podemos Canarias and general director of Youth of the Government of the Canary Islands during the current legislature.

They will be accompanied by two familiar faces of the party in the municipality: Sergio Siverio as number three, who works as a professor of Constitutional Law at the University of La Laguna, and Beatriz Bello Rodríguez as number four, who is a sociologist and cultural mediator. Both are part of a renewed team with which they will run in the next local elections, says the party.

The newly elected mayoral candidate, Teo Morales, indicated that “Podemos is more prepared than ever to bring about political change in Los Realejos; we have a renewed team of people with whom we are sure we can achieve representation and be decisive in putting an end to more than a decade of PP governments, we are more alive than ever and we will achieve it”.

For her part, the general coordinator of Podemos Canarias and number two of the candidacy, Laura Fuentes Vega, pointed out that “one of the aspects that differentiates us from the rest of the political organizations is that this team of people has been chosen in a primary process. participatory in which the militancy has validated the political proposal that we put forward, which kicks off an exciting process in which we are going to work from the left for an alternative for our people”.

The local coordinator of Podemos in Los Realejos and number three of this new team, Sergio Siverio, stressed that “Los Realejos has been subjected to a serious political scam for more than a decade, with a PP government that, more than governing, has made up its policies. without carrying out a single action that improves people’s lives, something that Podemos intends to make visible in order to promote a change that puts the common good first”.

In addition to the people mentioned, the press conference was attended by a representation of the team of royal people with whom the purple formation will present itself to the next municipal elections in 2023, which is already working intensely on the participatory preparation of the electoral program.
