Workers from the Hospital Quirónsalud Costa Adeje, in Tenerife, collaborated this weekend in the cleaning of Los Cristianos beach (in Arona) as part of the commitment that the hospital group maintains with “the health of the environment”, as it has explained the company, which adds that it “acquires growing relevance and priority when it comes to achieving healthy ecosystems that guarantee the health and well-being of people”.
Quirónsalud states that it remains firm in its basic principles of environmental action, promoting eco-efficiency and minimizing the impact of its waste, while working to raise awareness, internally and externally, about responsible management of the environment.
In this sense, the group has been collaborating for years with the Ecomar Foundation, whose motto is Take care of the only two places you can never move from, your body and your planet, and participate in its waste collection program. This initiative, which on this occasion has been carried out in the municipality of Arona and, specifically, on Los Cristianos beach, includes the classification of waste so that it can then be recycled.
The purpose of this waste collection, which was joined by a group of workers from the Quirónsalud Costa Adeje Hospital, is also “to raise awareness among future generations to put limits on pollution and show them a more ecological and respectful behavior with the environment, because as workers in the health sector they are aware that taking care of our own health requires a firm commitment to the health of the planet”.
Quirónsalud has two centers in the south of Tenerife: Quirónsalud Costa Adeje Hospital, a 62-bed hospital located in Adeje, and Quirónsalud Costa Adeje Medical Center, in Arona, which has six outpatient consultations, a Rehabilitation service and another Diagnostic by the picture.
