Arrested when they were surprised with 83 kilos of avocados stolen from a farm in Tenerife

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Agents of the Civil Guard belonging to the Post of Güímar, with the support of the Local Police of the municipality, have arrested two men aged 23 and 29, both residents of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force on a farm.

The criminal acts occurred when the defendants were caught red-handed while they were subtracting avocados from the interior of an agricultural farm, located in the municipality of Güímar, which they had accessed by force after scaling the perimeter wall that surrounded it.

Thanks to the quick action of the agents, more than 83 kg of avocados were recovered that were already prepared for their theft and subsequent transfer in the vehicle that the defendants had.

Thanks to the clarification of the aforementioned criminal act, it has been possible to obtain data to clarify others with similar characteristics and with a similar modus operandi, on the same farm in previous weeks, the complainant estimating that some 1,500 kilos of avocados.
