The Cabildo advises the municipalities of the Island in their processes of labor stabilization and implementation of teleworking. During a meeting held at the Island Palace, chaired by the Vice President and Minister of the Presidency, Finance and Modernization, Berta Pérez, and in which 55 representatives of the Island’s municipalities participated, other issues related to the regulation and management of municipal taxes.
This meeting is part of the support that the Corporation provides to municipalities through the Office of Comprehensive Assistance to City Councils, implemented in this mandate. “We are the first Cabildo to create this office that, in addition to providing legal assistance, assists and supports them in all the issues they need to guarantee its proper functioning and the quality of the services provided.” Among them are the management of human resources, public procurement, European funds and administrative modernization.
The Office “represents a fundamental tool for municipalities that have less administrative capacity to provide quality services to citizens.”
The meeting made it possible to review the main milestones of the island staff stabilization process to provide tools that make it possible to apply the model, in addition to delving into the teleworking regulations, which came into force this year and allow each case to be personalized.
The meeting also served to work on a document for local corporations to adapt their ordinances in order to adapt to the new regulation of the tax on the increase in value of urban land, capital gains.
Likewise, the event was attended by the insular director of Human Resources and Legal Advice, Lidia Pereira, and the director of the Tax Consortium, Francisco Domingo Martín.
