The Insular Executive and the Insular Political Council (CPI) of Canary Coalition of Tenerife officially elected Rosa Dávila as CC’s candidate for the Cabildo. With this decision, taken unanimously, it is the first time that a woman heads the nationalist insular electoral list.
The Political Council acclaimed Dávila’s candidacy in an extraordinary meeting that was presided over by the insular secretary general, Francisco Linares, in addition to the presence of the national secretary general and candidate for the Presidency of the canarian governmentFernando Clavijo.
The agreement comes to sign the different supports that Dávila obtained during the last weeks –the most recent, that of the Young Nationalists of Tenerife– during the regional meetings with positions and affiliates from all the municipalities of the Island. Dávila assured that he arrives “with great strength and determination to defend the people of Tenerife. We have a great team and a project to return hope and pride to this land.”
Comprehensive health network.
Dávila advances, who will also fight for a comprehensive and quality health network for Tenerife, recover programs designed for people, solve the problem of mobility, launch actions aimed at giving young people a future and promote the “important activity » of SMEs and the self-employed.
Dávila showed his “enormous happiness” for all the support and affection received throughout these weeks until yesterday’s final vote. He assesses: «This step implies a great responsibility and commitment to my party and to Tenerife, to my land. I come strong, with a lot of determination and a lot of desire.
Health and seniors.
Davila claims that will make a clear and firm bet on key points, such as the improvement of the health system on the Island or the situation of the elderly, who need social health centers and recover programs designed for people, such as Ansina. In this sense, the CC candidate for the Cabildo de Tenerife emphasizes «giving young people a future and giving them opportunities in this land. That they can live in the North and the South without having to go to other places.
“Canarian Coalition is stronger than ever and we are going to recover pride and dignity for this land,” says Dávila. He insists on betting on solving mobility with projects that “were ready and the PSOE has paralyzed, such as the bus-vao lane for the North and the South Train project”, as well as a “firm and determined” commitment to public transport to unblock the Island.
Lack of leadership.
For the nationalist candidate, “we have a Cabildo that does not manage and an island president that bows to the interests of the PSOE and does not defend the people of Tenerife, which has caused that Tenerife does not have the power of previous years». He assures that “we are going to recover the Island and the Cabildo for the people, for the people, because Tenerife comes first.” Dávila calls for the mobilization of nationalism so that “the Island recovers the leadership lost in these years of PSOE government.”
Dávila advocates “returning to the path of dialogue and broad consensus with the citizens of Tenerife and establishing agreements.” He concludes: “When you risk the future of the Island you have to have courage and determination, something that this president of the PSOE of the Cabildo has not had.”
Firm supports.
The island secretary general, Francisco Linares, highlights that Rosa Dávila “is a woman who excites us, with great experience and great management capacity and who knows every corner of the Island.” She «She has proven to be a committed person, with a great capacity for work. We have the best candidate to put Tenerife back on the map and I am sure that she will be the future president of the Cabildo », asserts Linares. In addition, the insular general secretary highlights that “together we are stronger, that is why we have a great team.”
The national secretary general, Fernando Clavijo, highlights that Rosa Dávila is “a woman who feels Tenerife and the Canary Coalition from all four sides. She is a woman who excites us, with experience and management skills, and she represents the best project for the present and future of Tenerife».
CC warns about the Circuit of l Engine
Canarian Coalition warns that “the five million euros for the Motor Circuit works are at risk.” The nationalist counselor Verónica Meseguer points out that “the government group’s delay in tendering the works may cause the loss of financing if it is not executed this year.” In addition, she demands the convening of the monitoring table to “inform all groups about this situation.” She values: “The only money that the Cabildo is going to spend is the 605,000 euros for promotion and a part was used for electoral purposes.” In the last plenary session of the Cabildo, Meseguer questioned the government group about the date to tender the works “without giving a specific one. It is not that the works do not start this year, as they had promised, but that they are not even going to put them out to tender.
