A canary circulates for more than three years with a car in the name of another person

The National Police has stopped at Santa Cruz of Tenerife a 23-year-old man from San Cristóbal de La Laguna, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of usurpation of civil status by circulate for more than three years with a vehicle in the name of another person.

The facts were known at the moment in which the affected person denounced that there was a vehicle circulating Tenerifewhen he had never been to the island nor was he the owner of it, but nevertheless they had reached him notifications of non-payment of traffic fines and circulation taxes, notifications of sanctions for not having compulsory insurance, etc. for a value of about 3,000 euros

Thus, the National Police carried out investigative investigations that found the ownership of the vehicle and its traceability until locating the current user of the vehicle, a former co-worker of the victimwho acknowledged that at the time they were partners he had lost his DNI.

The author, who had no criminal record, had purchased the vehicle from a private individual and had given the details of the complainant and affected, posing as him during all this time for the purposes of notifications related to the vehicle, which could be shown to be on the island.

For this reason, he proceeded to location and arrestbeing made available to the competent judicial authority.
