Two poachers have been denounced for having killed a mouflon in the Lunar Landscape area, in the Tenerife municipality of Vilaflor, Civil Guard sources reported.
The hunters were surprised by agents of the Nature Protection Service (Seprona), in coordination with rural guards from the Federation of Hunting Management of Tenerife and with agents of the Cabildo Environment, after receiving a citizen complaint. The alerter explained that he had seen how a person shot a mouflon with a shotgun in a special hunting control area, and that, with the help of another, he was preparing to move the body of the lifeless animal.
Both were located nearby, and one of them had hidden among the pine needles. They also found the animal, which they tried to hide. The Civil Guard details that these two people have been denounced for lacking a controlled hunting permit.
