
The Center for Initiatives and Tourism of the South of Tenerife (CIT Sur) presented its Gánigo awards for the current year, with which it recognizes companies, people and projects that have stood out and contributed, both directly and indirectly, to the development of tourism in the region. The gala took place at the Hotel Barceló Tenerife, with the assistance of the president of the Cabildo, Pedro Martín Domínguez, in addition to the host mayor, Arturo González.
The awards went to IES El Galeón (Adeje), San Miguel de Tajao Fishermen’s Association (Arico), Grupo Al Sur (Arona), Finca Higos de Fasnia (Fasnia), Marrero Architect Neighbors (Granadilla de Abona), Isorana Musical Association and Virgin Music Band the light (Guía de Isora), CD Arcángel San Miguel (San Miguel de Abona), Víctor Manuel Fernandez (James of the Mount Teide) and Restaurant Cafeteria La Paz (Vilaflor).
They also distinguished the companies Hotel The Ritz-Carlton, Abama (Tourism), La Calabacera Gourmet Ecology (Primary), Antonio Rodríguez, Roseta and Calado (Trade and Crafts), Overseas Restaurant (Restaurant), Spawellplus (Events, Leisure and Culture) , Futurism (Communication) and Sermugran SL (Sustainability). There was a special mention for Cáritas and an honorable mention for the Hotel H10 Gran Tinerfe.
