Podemos Adeje has assured this Monday that, according to the review of the General Planning Plan (PGO) of the municipality, in the sector where the Cuna del Alma tourism project is to be built, 3,602 tourist beds are contemplated and not 1,800 as has been reported.

As reported by the formation in a statement, these data correspond to the modification of the PGO of Adeje approved in 2019 under which, in its opinion, the Cuna del Alma project is protected and which corresponds to the planning sector SO-6, that of El little port
Podemos has offered these figures to counter the reports that in the draft Cuna del Alma will build 420 tourist villas or 1,800 beds. He has added that the number of hotel plots is six and that the actions to be carried out in them contemplate constructions of five to six floors, five plots for tourist villas and another five for commercial use with up to four building floors.
The formation affirms that “there has been an increase in tourist beds by 921 places, since in the basic adaptation of the PGO of 2008, 2,681 places for tourist accommodation were contemplated for this sector.” It has also affirmed that houses were eliminated in El Puertito, since at first a permanent residential use was contemplated for 1,747 inhabitants.
With regard to this, they focus on the lack of housing development in the municipality and its cost, since Adeje is the municipality of Tenerife with the most expensive housing, both for rent and for purchase, according to real estate portals. Podemos makes it clear that by providing this housing data it does not express a favorable opinion that actions be carried out in this regard in El Puertito. In fact, he has spoken out against the urban development of such an enclave.
