We can ask for the stoppage of the works of the TF-5 in Los Realejos

The Circle of Podemos in the municipality of Los Realejos has asked the Cabildo de Tenerife to stop the works that are being carried out on the TF-5 road, at the height of the San Vicente entrance, for the closure of different accesses to the general highway that “directly affect” the residents.

Podemos has criticized that the “unilateral action” of the Cabildo Highways area, currently in the hands of Enrique Arriaga (Citizens), is generating “direct damage to the residents of Los Realejos, to whom they are being closed, without prior warning, the accesses to this road”.

The municipal spokesman for Podemos in Los Realejos, Teo Morales, has expressed his concern “about the drift that the mobility problem in the municipality is having, not only because of the insensitivity that the Cabildo is having with the affected population, without held prior meetings to inform and seek consensual solutions, but with the absolute and irresponsible passivity of the municipal government team, which far from betting on this path of dialogue, remains in a position of open war with the insular institution, further entrenching the problem, far from worrying about the well-being of the citizenry”.

Morales considers that “the mobility problems and the constant conflicts between the Cabildo and the City Council with repeated situations such as those of La Montañeta or El Patronato have had the citizens of Los Realejos as the main affected, who are not thought of when do these things.” “The Cabildo de Tenerife has to sit down and talk with the City Council of Los Realejos and the citizens to plan their road works, in order to improve mobility in this town,” demands the local spokesperson for the purple formation.

Podemos Los Realejos has transferred these events to the island group of Sí Podemos Canarias in the Cabildo so that they can send the Island Government group “not only the claims transferred from the citizens, but also the demand that the future actions that it plans to carry out in Los Realejos they are carried out hand in hand with prior information and consensus work”.

Morales has also communicated with the insular director of Highways, Tomás Félix García Pérez (Citizens), to directly send him the neighborhood complaints about the unforeseen closure of these roads.
