Thus, the price of this car park, one of the most expensive in the city, It is reduced from 2.3 euros per hourat only 1.50, or what is the same, the minute costs 0.025 euros.
The councilor of the area, Carlos Tarife, yesterday expressed his satisfaction with this decision with which the concessionaire avoids the following steps announced by the mayor, and which included the imposition of sanctions, as well as going to court in search of precautionary measures to lower prices if necessary.
In the facilities of the aforementioned parking The poster could be read yesterday where it is stated that, from minute 1 to 600, the price of the rates is 0.025 euros per minute, as Public Services had ordered. The daily maximum for parking in this public parking lot will be 15 euros.
The Public Services report ordered to set the maximum rate at those 0.025 euros per minute, for which it had given the concessionaire, Parking Tenerife, a month to proceed to lower the hourly price by 80 cents, a term that the company has not exhausted , proceeding to the change already this weekend.
The municipal order also included the adjustment in the payment of the canon, so that this year, they will have to pay 12,404 euros per quarter, which translates into about 49,000 euros per year. According to the City Council’s calculations, the company had been paying about 3,000 euros a year less than what it was entitled to for the public concession, for which it has to pay around 6,000 euros for the last three years. It remains to be seen if the concessionaire will also comply with this part of the order given by the Consistory.
The parking de Weyler was the first to be contacted by Public Services to lower their rates, a communication that the public car parks of Puente Serrador, Tomé Cano, Plaza de España and El Pilar have also received.
