The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the ‘Why Tenerife?’ platform, has attended the ‘MetalMadrid 2022’ fair this October to expose its full potential as a place of business to industrial companies, the R&D sector and sectoral associations of metal and robotics.
Tenerife has participated with an exhibitor in the innovation area of the fair through the ‘Why Tenerife?’ platform, made up of the Cabildo de Tenerife, together with the Port Authority, the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Special Canary Islands (ZEC) and the Tenerife Free Zone (ZFT), to offer advice to potential investors on the advantages and opportunities of the island as a business destination.
The director of programs of the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Pablo Martín Carbajal, together with the special delegate of the State of the Free Trade Zone of Tenerife (ZFT), Margarita Pena, gave a talk on tax incentives, with special attention to R&D and the free zone.
The CEO of the Foreign Action area of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Liskel Álvarez, points out that “participation in the fair is part of the strategy to increase the presence of Tenerife in different markets that generate economy and employment, both nationally and international”.
On this occasion, he points out, “in a leading event for industry, robotics and innovation, in which all sectors of interest in this business field have been represented”.
For Álvarez, this fair is “a great opportunity to promote incentives for R&D, identify projects, and continue promoting Tenerife as a focus for attracting investment.”
