The works of the Valleseco beachin the capital of Tenerife, 70% have been executed and the forecast is that the works will be completed at the end of March or the beginning of April 2023, the president of the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de TenerifeCarlos Gonzalez.

After touring the area with the presidents of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, and of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín, and the mayor of the city, José Manuel Bermúdez, the president of the Port Authority has indicated that since the materials are in the area deadlines will be met.

The works have a budget of 16.6 million euros, of which the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council contributes just over 5.6 million; the regional government 5.4 million; the Cabildo de Tenerife 4 million and the Port Authority just over 1.5 million.

The president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has assured that the work of a “complicated” work and demanded by the neighbors for decades “is going very well”, which, he added, was unblocked at the end of 2019 with the intervention of all the administrations .

The president of the Cabildo, Pedro Martín, has highlighted that the insular corporation has carried out more than twenty works on the coast of the island, and has highlighted that the one on Valleseco beach is significant and with it a demand from the neighbors and from the whole city.

The mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez, has also expressed his satisfaction with this work, in which the largest contribution is made by the municipal corporation, and has also shown his satisfaction because the deadlines are met.

José Manuel Bermúdez has said that by mid-2023 it will be possible to have the work “absolutely finished”, and has commented that now works must be carried out such as the recovery of the Insular Center for Maritime Sports of Tenerife (Cidemat), which corresponds to the Cabildo de Tenerife , and the completion of the Spa, which is the responsibility of the regional government.

Pedro Martín has pointed out that the forecast is to have an economic item to begin the remodeling works of the Cidemat at the beginning of next year.
