SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 26 Oct. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Science and Technology Park (PCTT), the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE) and the Portuguese Association of Science and Technology Parks (TECPARQUES), organizes the ‘XV Iberian Meeting’ to bring together to researchers from Spanish and Portuguese parks with the aim of reinforcing cooperation in innovation between their companies and R&D entities.
The event will be held at IACtec, NanoTec and at the Cañada Blanca Visitor Center on November 22 and 23.
The First Vice President and Island Councilor for Innovation, Enrique Arriaga, explains that “this meeting, which has been taking place for 20 years, serves to analyze the possibilities of cooperation offered by the different science parks so that the Iberian alliance assumes a greater leading role in European innovation policies”.
The island director of Innovation, María Aránzazu Artal, points out that “the NanoTEC and IACtec technology centers host a large number of companies and entities from the technology sector, so they will serve as a showcase for Tenerife to show itself as an island at the forefront of the Innovation area”.
The programming of the event will begin on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. and during this day, attendees will enjoy a presentation by the vice president of the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain, Josep Miquel Piqué, and will attend different round tables and ‘elevator pitch ‘ in which representatives of different parks and companies will participate.
Next, the facilities of the NanoTEC and IACtec centers will be visited to attend a demonstration of the work carried out in their facilities, collects a note from the Cabildo.
On Wednesday the day will take place at the Teide National Park Visitor Center, the next organizing park of the ‘Iberian Encounter 2023’ will be presented and a visit to Teide will be made.
