SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 24 Oct. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The website of the Parliament of the Canary Islands is launching these days an ‘Equality Portal’ with which it is intended to give visibility to society of its commitment to gender equality.
The portal reflects those acts or events related to the gender perspective that have been developed in the institution since 2021, as well as the content of the ‘I Plan for Equality of women and men of the Parliament of the Canary Islands (2021-2024) ‘ and, through the first annual report, the different actions that are being carried out for its implementation and execution.
In addition, training actions are included and, among other issues of interest, a section with data statistics disaggregated by gender, such as the number of deputies and deputies who have been part of the Chamber from its provisional stage in 1982 to the present, or the number of women and men participating in training courses.
