Clavijo accuses the socialists of managing “with their backs to the South”

Fernando Clavijo He maintains that the central government, the Canarian Executive and the Cabildo de Tenerife “have managed with their backs to the south of the Island” during the current legislature. In the opinion of the regional senator, “three years have been lost to promote road works”, at a time when “they were not only necessary to improve the living conditions of the neighbors, but to generate employment”.

He explicitly referred to projects such as that of the TF-61, whose section from the Autopista del Sur (TF-1) to El Puertito de Güímar has had a remodeling project drawn up since the previous mandate, with a government of the Canary Coalition (CC), but «it continues without executing”. In this context, the nationalist candidate for the Presidency of the Autonomous Community drew attention to the fact that works whose execution period was 30 months “will not be carried out before seven years.” Hence, he reproached “the lack of responsibility” of the Socialist Executive. It is just an example of his laziness », he emphasized.

After the work meeting he had with the mayor of Güímar, the nationalist Gustavo Pérez, the senator of the Canarian Coalition, Fernando Clavijo, traveled with the alderman to Puertito de Güímar. In this town he collected the demands of its population in the health issue as referred to the road matter.

The bridge of the TF-61

Specifically, Gustavo Pérez raised the insecurity that the underpass of the TF-61 on the Autopista del Sur represents for passers-by and drivers, valued as “one of the black spots on the roads of Tenerife.” The mayor claimed for this point “special attention” given the urgency of “providing this bridge with safety for pedestrians and drivers.” The councilor defended that it is a step that registers a gradual increase in pedestrian and road traffic “which requires urgent action.”

Fernando Clavijo also held a meeting with another of the mayors of his political party, Arturo González, in San Miguel de Abona. At the meeting, the councilor from San Miguel emphasized the need for the administrations to decisively promote measures to generate employment and strengthen social policies. From González’s perspective, “we are at a time of special difficulty for neighbors and families” due to the rise in prices.
