In Wednesday’s jury trial session in this case, the coroners did not hesitate to describe the assault as “violent” and even “atypical” due to its brutality. The victim’s body was found in a garage and shortly thereafter the defendant was arrested after being identified by fingerprints.
Forensic experts reviewed the damage suffered by the man and explained that the wounds overlapped, since there was a hemorrhage in the skull, abundant blood was also detected in the chest and three ribs were broken on each side.
In short, it would be a violent death due to traumatic and hemorrhagic “shock” with multiple blows from the chest to the face.
Everything indicates that the taxi driver hardly put his hands at first, but it is not possible to speak of defense and in fact, it is believed that he remained immobilized.
The body appeared covered with paint and signs of having been burned after his death. Most of the blows took place on the ground and their number was so high that many of them were delivered when the victim was already dead.
As for the file that was nailed to a car, it had no fingerprints or traces of DNA and did not even cause any injuries.
It is not possible to determine how long the taxi driver was alive during the aggression, but it was concluded that he lost consciousness before he died, although the exact moment cannot be determined.
Members of the Security Forces confirmed that through the security cameras they observed how the victim’s car entered the garage at around 3:30 in the morning, and seconds later the defendant did so, who left half an hour later.
The accused showed no signs of having ingested drugs or drinks to the point that he was observed speeding down the TF-1 highway on a bicycle.
Another man and a car remained outside the garage for three minutes, which, according to the police, were unrelated to the events.
An agent pointed out that through the cameras it was possible to observe how a person who dressed the same as the accused was walking around from one in the morning in a park located in front of the garage.
The experts recounted how they proceeded to identify the fingerprints of the accused and the DNA of the taxi driver found on the clothes that the first of them had in his house.
The samples were from two different people and the footprints found in the garage were found to be consistent with those of the defendant.
