Yesterday, the Area of Commerce and Economic Development of the City Council of La Laguna put out for sale more than 50,000 units of the municipality’s Commerce Voucher, an initiative that it is developing with the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (FAUCA) as a collaborating entity and which will mean that Consumers can purchase 30-euro bonds by paying only half, which will function as a digital wallet and can be exchanged for four months at different purchases, drinks and places throughout the municipality.
A total of 337 freelancers, SMEs and micro-enterprises, almost 30% more than in the first, have joined the initiative, which includes shops, hotels, restaurants, hairdressers, beauty services and tourist accommodation, and which will end on February 14 of 2023, so they can also be used during the Christmas and Valentine’s campaigns. Commerce of La Laguna will allocate a total amount of 800,000 euros to subsidize these titles, which would mean a final income in sales for the sector of 1.6 million euros, one of the highest municipal investments of its kind in the Canary Islands.
