The streets of the urban center of La Orotava they were once again filled with color and art with the twenty-third edition of Arte Joven en la Calle. More than 500 artists gathered to exhibit their artistic disciplines and share them with the thousands of people who came to the town center to enjoy a different day. The exhibition took place in the surroundings of the Town Hall, Carrera Escultor Estévez street, El Puente area up to Calvario street, Plaza de la Constitución and Avenida de Canarias.
It is a unique activity that combines culture, art, fun, entertainment and education. In addition, this initiative revitalizes the urban area, a day in which, according to the City Council’s calculations, more than 8,000 people came to stroll through the streets of the Villa and to enjoy the businesses that opened their doors and the local gastronomy.
One more year there were multiple artistic disciplines, such as painting, drawing, photography, theater, dance, puppets, storytelling, live music, magic, statuary, illustration and graffiti… among others, as well as fun and educational workshops for the little ones of the house From ten in the morning until three in the afternoon, La Orotava became the epicenter of creativity on the Island.
