The next candidate for the Presidency of the Cabildo claims the BUS-VAO on the TF-5 and sees it as compatible with the ring road

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 15 Oct. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The secretary of the Canarian Coalition Organization (CC) in Tenerife and the next candidate for the Presidency of the Cabildo, Rosa Dávila, is committed to promoting the construction of the southern train in the coming years in order to improve mobility on the island through of public transport.

“We will get the money from wherever it is,” he comments in an interview with Europa Press in which he makes it clear that the project “has to be paid for by the State” that each year invests in the development of AVE lines.

Dávila understands that “what cannot be” is that the project “is kept in a drawer” and does not have a file in the PGE and the one from Gran Canaria does, which continued with the bet and “they are launching it” and on top of that with support of the same party that rejects it in Tenerife (Podemos) “as if it were a bicephaly that says it is sustainable for Gran Canaria and it is not for Tenerife”.

And in this context, he points out, “the PSOE is silent and grants and paralyzes the island of Tenerife.”

Regarding the roads, he comments that “they are worse” than in the last Legislature when from the ‘Pacto de las Flores’ “they arrived promising that they were going to eliminate the traffic problem, which is something very complex.”

Along these lines, he highlights that “the most problematic thing is that they have kept in the drawers” projects that had to have a boost, such as the BUS-HOV lane “and they are paralyzed by total instability”, apart from the fact that they “do not feel like effort”.

Thus, he regrets that people who travel by bus are “blocked” and queued for what he understands is that you have to bet on the BUS-VAO lane on the TF-5 to La Orotava so that when someone gets on a bus “they know that will arrive” on time at its destination.

Dávila insists that “part of the solution” is to offer “reliable” public transport and the project for that lane may be compatible with the La Laguna bypass promoted by the PSOE, so he does not rule it out either. “We’ll probably bet on both,” he stresses.

Regarding the management of the ‘Cuna del Alma’ urban project that is being promoted in Puertito de Adeje, he comments that “first of all” is “not to deceive people” or get “the ball off your back” because right now it is not known if this initiative “is legal or not legal, if it has permission or not, if it has a license and if it is properly given”.

It also affects that the General Directorate of Heritage of the Government of the Canary Islands imposes a sanction and the Cabildo says that “it is not competent to paralyze” the work, so “everything is a huge confusion.”

MARTIN CONFRONTS THE CITIZENS

Another of the consequences of this project, he points out, is that Martín has managed to “confront the people” and the people of Tenerife do not deserve to be “punctured” for the confrontation, as has also happened with the Motor Circuit.

Questioned about the collapse of the port of Los Cristianos, he urges public institutions to “do something” because he suspects that the Government of the Canary Islands “has not even commissioned the study” to which it undertook to evaluate the suitability of the port of Fonsalía to channel maritime traffic with the ‘green islands’.

The nationalist leader also criticizes the State because the port falls under its jurisdiction “and it has not invested a single euro.”

He understands that you have to sit down with “the experts” and analyze what the best solution is, stressing that in CC they have already ruled out the Fonsalía option, in Guía de Isora, because the environmental impact statement “was allowed to expire” and affects natural spaces protected and routes of passage of cetaceans.

Dávila is in favor of taking more advantage of the industrial port of Granadilla if it admits traffic between islands and insists that Los Cristianos “does not have the conditions” to house all the maritime traffic of the western province because “it becomes a great funnel that punctures with the highway and the entire South collapses.

“Non-action is not an alternative and what they have done is not doing,” he adds.

Nor does it endorse the competition for the new Tenerife South airport terminal because it is late and the works will not start until 2026 because Aena has been “blocking and boycotting” its expansion for years despite the fact that it is one of the airports that has given the most benefit and has made it possible to finance other “fantastics” throughout Spain.

In this sense, he highlights that Aena’s investments on the island have been “ridiculous”, including the last one that has allowed the two airport terminals to be joined: “It is to put a hangar on top of two terminals, which is not the project that Tenerife South needs” .

Dávila claims Tenerife as a “world tourist power” and until now what it had as a gateway for tourists was “a filth” and “without investing a euro”.

Bad management in the dependency area also makes the insular government group ugly, since they have not built a single public square in three years and that leads to the collapse of hospitals, since many chronic patients occupy hospital beds.

TEIDE: YOU CAN’T GO “LIKE SHEEP” IN A SHUTTLE BUS

For the Teide National Park, it has plans that go through guaranteeing that “the people of Tenerife will not have to pay to access their national park”, and even less go in shuttle buses “like sheep” after parking the car in large parking lots that ” They looked more like shopping malls.

It is clear to him that “another Master Plan must be drawn up” and reconcile the protection of the park, which “nobody disputes” with the enjoyment of groups that “are very respectful of the environment.

He does not hide that “there is a problem at peak hours to park” but he understands that solutions must be “searched for” and now “another era” has been entered and there are technological systems to reserve spaces and time slots, for example.
