resources of Civil protectionLocal Police, Red Cross and Municipal Operational Coordination Center (Cecopal) of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have participated in the device activated this Saturday morning due to the appearance of a stranded dolphin at Chica Beach.

A group of swimmers who have witnessed the discovery on the sandbank that adjoins the popular Las Gaviotas and Las Teresitas beaches told DIARIO DE AVISOS that the lifeless body of the animal “had no injuries or blows.” They indicate that “surely it arrived at high tide.”

The removal of the dolphin was carried out by sea, after the assessment of the fauna services.
